This week...in our prayer meeting. Let's invite the children to pray with us.
Pray with your kids mom! Allow them to lead in the prayers.
This week my daughter Felecia from her Beautiful Girlhood book by Mabel Hale is learning about this...finding that quiet time and today was: WHAT IS PRAYER?
Does your child know what prayer actually is?
Teach them first by Word...from the Word.

There are droves of scriptures. These will tell your children how to pray, what to pray for, and who to pray for.
Tell your children...Prayer is (communion) time to talk to God and hear from Him. To thank Him, Worship Him, Cry before Him if needed, Ask for needs they or others may have and yes; desires too!
Then TEACH your child by example...not just at this period of time, make it a a daily habit: PRAY WITH THEM!

Charity Ferguson Vanderhoof Since blogspot does not let me comment then I will here. AMEN!!!! AMEN!!!!! AMEN!!!!! I can not Amen this post enough. In the last week we have seen Caleb's pray life deepen and blossom. It has only been recently that we have started having Simeon pray outloud so I look forward to the day that his prayer life does the same thing. The prayers from Caleb are almost too grown up for a seven year old. I think the Lord is turning him into a prayer warrior. I could not be happier. However, it all starts at home with us praying for our children, then praying with our children, then allowing them to pray (even when the first little prayers seem shallow to us). They will grow in this area.

A hurting mother of a young lady of 19 needs your prayers right now. Her daughter has ran off and married a young man-their life style is not good at all. Mom is very sad and hurting and longs for ones to pray for her daughter. Names are not being mentioned. Girl was raised in a Christian home.
