PRAY

Deuteronomy 4:29

"But if from there you will seek (inquire for and require as necessity) the Lord your God, you will find Him if you [truly] seek Him with all your heart [and mind] and soul and life."
Amplified Bible

Mom's the extremist thing we could EVER do is Pray! The strongest thing we can do and not worry about how gifted, talented, and smart we are is to SEEK God with all our hearts. Go for it this week. In the middle of the night, early in the morning or take a break and find that closet and call out to Jesus. He really is waiting to hear from you, our children NEED us to pray.
Leave a prayer request in the comment section after this post. Leave a testimony as well.
I am trying to restrain my self from not going into a writing frenzy so we can just focus on prayer. I want to invite you to read my last Post on Snowdenwiththefam called: 'Desperate Enough to Pray' ...[http://snowdenwiththefam-daneille.blogspot.com/2011/09/desperate-enough-to-pray.html ]
TO PRAY: Latin: precārī  to beg.  A Personal communication or petition addressed to a deity, in the form of supplication, adoration, praise, contrition, or thanksgiving.
WHY?  We are demonstrating our FAITH in the Higher Power of All...God! The Creator of the Universe. We know that we know...He indeed hears our Cries, and reaches down and answer  our prayers.
We pray to STAND IN THE GAP for our 'loved-ones' and others. Once again believing that when we do, calling out in the Name above All Names=Jesus! Satan trembles and has to flee.
We pray for guidance, healing, victory, supply and FOR COMPANY! Finding out we are NOT alone.
FOR WHO? Who not? We pray for our enemies, for those who 'use-us', for our neighbors, churches, leaders and our family. Here, we are focusing on our children.
I know the Lord led me tonight to this song...the first part of it is focused on praying for our children. Listen and get lost in the Presence of our Lord.

Praying For Your Child's Mind

Ever heard the quote: "You are what you think." It has been used in various formats through out time. The mind...it never seems to turn off. We know what we battle in ours don't we? Some stuff we would NEVER share with a soul. This is where a lot of spiritual warfare is definitely fought.
The Word tells us to fill our minds with: Honorable things, Truth, Just, Honesty, Good Reports (positive), Virtue-pure, lovely, commendable....THINK ON THESE THINGS!
So, what is in the minds of our children?
Make Phil. 4:8 as a prayer (sure for yourself) a prayer for your children. Also a guideline on what books they read, music they listen to, movies (tv shows) they watch. Are they pure? True?
If their minds are full of God's Love...insecurities they are facing will fade. Confusion will be gone.
Proverbs 3:6 Clearly states: "In all your ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct your paths."
This week...let's pray for our children's minds and for us as parents to teach them Phil. 4:8; by applying it to every area of their lives.
Do you have a child that needs prayer?
One that is also facing turmoil in their minds?
Let us know...we would be more than happy to agree with you in prayer.
Lord bless you RICHLY in Him this day-Mom!

Teaching What Prayer is to Your Child

This week...in our prayer meeting. Let's invite the children to pray with us.
Pray with your kids mom! Allow them to lead in the prayers.
This week my daughter Felecia from her Beautiful Girlhood book by Mabel Hale is learning about this...finding that quiet time and today was: WHAT IS PRAYER?
Does your child know what prayer actually is?
Teach them first by Word...from the Word.
Take them to: Ps. 27:11/50:14-15/102:1/117:1
                      Mat. 5:44/7:11/26:41
Lu. 10:2  (Thanks Shelley N. for the script. references!)
There are droves of scriptures. These will tell your children how to pray, what to pray for, and who to pray for.
Tell your children...Prayer is (communion) time to talk to God and hear from Him. To thank Him, Worship Him, Cry before Him if needed, Ask for needs they or others may have and yes; desires too!
Then TEACH your child by example...not just at this period of time,  make it a a daily habit: PRAY WITH THEM!

HEDGE OF PROTECTION AS OUR GENERATIONS ARE IN SCHOOL

School has begun! Our children have now begun a brand new year of education...in the public school they also will start new friendships, join new clubs, and take new subjects. Regardless if our children are being home schooled or in the public arena. This is a wonderful time to be renewed in the prayer of God 'Building that Hedge of Protection' around them.
Zechariah 2:5 (New Living Translation)
Then I, myself, will be a protective wall of fire around Jerusalem, says the Lord. And I will be the glory inside the city!’”
Job 1:10
“Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side?”.
Let's pray for:
Physical Protection
Mental/Educational Protection
Emotional Protection
SPIRITUAL Protection
Encourage and teach them about putting on the whole Armour of God DAILY! They learn by example and by Word.
I loved what this site had to share on this:
"There are three parts to a prayer for a hedge of protection:
*Ask God to bind and rebuke the power of Satan in the life of each one in your family. Be mighty through God to pull down strongholds. “No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man”(Mark 3:27).
*Pray in the name and through the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ. “Whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son” (John 14:13). Christ’s name is Protector, the Good Shepherd that gives His life for His sheep.
*Claim the Scripture that relates to the kind of protection that is needed. For example, for protection from sin, you can claim a verse such as Romans 6:14, “For sin shall not have dominion over you”. For protection from discouragement, you could claim the promise “I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee” (Hebrews 13:5)."  [Advanced Training Institute International]
